Fancy a stall at the Artisan Market?
The markets run every first Saturday of the month thereafter. The next one is on October 2nd!
You can of course expect the same wonderful teetering charm of the artisan stalls and the same high standard of beautiful crafts and wares as before
We hope we can build on the massive support, energy and enthusiasm the first three markets in 2009 managed to whip up. The area is so lucky to have the prefect location, as the steps are not only beautiful, charming and unique in a way which reflect and compliments the artisans at the market, but they are naturally pedestrianised.

Arts Quarter Arts Trail!
To further highlight the large concentration of creative businesses and galleries in the quarter, local resident and photographer, Sarah BB and Bristol-based composer, Barnabas Y have organised an Art Trail for the area.
The Arts trail is currently looking for new artists and potential exhibition spaces. Please contact through the email below
Sarah explains...We began this project as a way to brighten the area, working with residents and traders to install exhibitions which would illuminate the creativity and individuality of the area.
The exhibits wind a path around the eight streets, taking in the windows of five local residences and Cafe Delight on Perry Road, where the walls are being used as exhibition space.

Abigail Reed: An exhibition of paintings
Knifesmith Gallery is pleased to present the first solo gallery exhibition by Jamaica Street artist Abigail Reed.
Building on her large scale ink drawings and paintings, her latest oil on canvass work retains their stark contrast but introduces muted colours – pinks, sand, duck egg, indigo, aubergine – adding further richness to pieces which fuse the contemporary with echoes of a Regency style.
“My paintings and drawings portray the human and animal form, the strength these figures embody and the impact they have on their surroundings."
Runs from September 3rd to 8th October 2010
